English for Chemists

Ed taught C1-level English for Chemistry to Masters research students at the University of Regensburg in 2020-2021, developing the course based on his own scientific writing experience for real-world outputs and applications. The course covered key language, grammar and style points for scientific papers, patents, review articles, popular magazine articles and grant applications, including an examination and symposium.

Four students had articles accepted in the Royal Society of Chemistry's Chemistry World magazine, drawing on guidance from the magazine and a previous article:
